Since 2016, we have worked to expand students' love for the arts and sciences. We have partnered with multiple schools in Dallas-Fort Worth to do so.
Who We Are
STEAM Army is an entirely student led and run organization, and our mission is to educate and expose kids to the endless, exciting possibilities that exist within S.T.E.A.M fields. As high school students, we are so incredibly fortunate to be taught about S.T.E.M in our day-to-day curriculum. However, we strongly believe that kids should be aware of S.T.E.A.M oriented opportunities long before they enter high school so that they can be cognizant of all the opportunities and career paths they can pursue as they grow into future industry leaders and influencers. We hope to share our passion and our love for S.T.E.A.M with everyone, regardless of their circumstance or age because this is the future, our future.
WHy S.T.E.A.M. and not S.T.E.M.
While we believe strongly in the trajectory and emphasis on S.T.E.M in today’s society, we also feel that education can never be too lopsided. By adding the “arts” as an integral part of our program, in the form of writing and design, we feel that we are providing our members with a more holistic and complete education, where students will be empowered to utilize both sides of their brain: creative and analytic.
The mission is twofold: One, to educate and inspire elementary and middle school students to pursue STEAM fields later down the road and two, to make students appreciative of the challenges in the teaching profession.
